Wizzie Hall of Fame

The Wizzie Award was first presented by Launceston Apex 40 in 1979. The Wizzie is presented to the 'Stand Out' Apex 40 member of that year. The Wizzie 'Trophy Winner' is selected at the Annual RORT by the previous year's winner. Winning this prestigious award includes the recipient in the following illustrious company.

In the State of Origin, Victoria has won 8 times, Queensland 9 times, New South Wales 7 times, Tasmania 5 times and Western Australia twice. Most successful Clubs are Melboume/Gippsland, Bendigo, Devonport and Redlands - with 3 wins each. Quite a few other Clubs have won the Wizzie twice.

Thunderbox Award

The Thunderbox appeared at the Wyong Rort in 2009. It was decreed that the Wizzie should go to a female and the Thunderbox to a male. Despite this decree, the 2010 award was made to a female.
